In 1937, a small group of sportsmen formed an organization known as Ducks Unlimited with one mission in mind, habitat conservation. Ducks Unlimited is now the world’s largest and most effective private waterfowl and wetlands conservation organization. Ducks Unlimited has nearly 800,000 members and has conservation projects throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, and areas of Latin America and the Caribbean.
Ducks Unlimited volunteers posses the passion and commitment to conserve wetland habitat in the most critical regions. To date, the Ducks Unlimited organization has conserved more than 11.6 million acres of waterfowl habitat in North America and has raised more than $2.3 billion dollars.
A portion of the proceeds from all Ducks Unlimited Eyewear and Sunwear sales are used directly to restore and protect important wetland habitat in North America. To date, DU's volunteers have raised $2.3 billion dollars and the organization has conserved nearly 12 million acres of habitat- one of the greatest conservation achievements in history.
